Checkers is a classic two-player board game consisting of diagonally arranged squares. Players sit on opposite sides of the board and take turns moving their pieces.
Gameplay
In single player mode, the player always plays, regardless of who moves first. Pawns move diagonally on black squares, capturing opponent pieces by jumping over them to an unoccupied square. Captures are mandatory. When multiple capture sequences are available, the player can choose the sequence, but must make all available captures. When pawns reach the farthest front row, they become kings, able to move backwards.
English Checkers: Pawns cannot jump back, and the king can only move one step in either direction.
Flying King: The piece cannot jump back, but the king can move arbitrarily far along an unblocked diagonal.
International: Pawns can jump back, and the king can move arbitrarily far along an unblocked diagonal.
operate
Move pieces by first selecting the piece you want to move, then selecting the target square to move it to. If the selected piece has only one move available, it will move automatically. Alternatively, you can tap the target square without selecting a piece. Normally, squares are black, but squares that the current player can move to are dark green. Selected pieces are marked by a light green border.
